Today, I’m taking a closer look at the Total Eclipse Assure Detox, a 32oz detox cleansing solution that’s gained popularity for its claims to aid in passing a urine drug test.

According to its marketing, the drink boasts, “Toxins hide in fatty tissue and have a harder time attaching themselves to muscle, so the more muscle mass you have the easier it will be to detox quickly. Our unique blend of herbs and minerals flushes out all the toxins quickly to help you detoxify your body.

These carefully selected herbs, extracts, and minerals work together to do in just a few hours what your body would do naturally in a month.”

However, it’s crucial to note that these claims are misleading; it’s not feasible to achieve in an hour what the body naturally does over a month.

What this drink can do, realistically, is temporarily flush drug metabolites from your bladder and inhibit new metabolites from entering the bladder for a short period.

This results in a window of several hours where your urine could potentially pass a drug test.

Now, let’s delve into the duration and detectability of the Total Eclipse Assure Detox . It’s supposed to be effective for up to five hours, reaching peak efficiency around three hours post-consumption.

Generally, these types of cleansing drinks aren’t detectable in laboratory drug tests.

However, if the drink lacks sufficient ingredients to restore natural urine parameters, your sample may be flagged as diluted during validity testing.

Unfortunately, my research indicates that this product doesn’t contain an adequate blend of ingredients to avoid this issue.

So, what’s in this drink? Let’s examine the ingredients to determine if they are effective for passing a drug test, and I’ll also share insights from real user reviews.

I’ve done the research so you don’t have to, and I’ll thoroughly review its effectiveness for cleansing in preparation for a drug test.

How Does the Total Eclipse Assure Detox Work?

The principle behind cleansing detox products like this one is simple: they offer a temporary method to reduce the amount of drug metabolites in the urine before a drug test.

Here are the basic principles and steps that an effective method must achieve for optimal results:

Making Your Urine Clean

  1. Stopping Body Fat Breakdown: Marijuana metabolites are stored in body fat tissues and continuously released into the blood. By stopping the breakdown of body fat, THC is not released from the fat cells into the blood and, consequently, does not get into the urine.
  2. Slowing Down Drug Metabolism in the Liver: This involves inhibiting the activity of CYP450 enzymes responsible for drug metabolism. When the drug metabolism in the liver is slowed, less THC is metabolized from the blood and excreted into the urine, resulting in lower THC levels in the urine.
  3. Preventing Reabsorption of Drug Metabolites: Most drug metabolites end up in the intestines, not the urine. However, they can be reabsorbed into the blood from the intestines—a process called enterohepatic circulation. It’s crucial to inhibit this process to reduce the amount of metabolites excreted into the urine.
  4. Increasing Urination Frequency: This step flushes out the drug metabolites already in your bladder. Since no new drug metabolites are being excreted into the bladder, the concentration of these metabolites in each subsequent urine sample will be lower. Eventually, the concentration drops below the cutoff level, allowing you to pass a urine drug test.

Restoring Urine Parameters

When undergoing a drug test, your urine will be subjected to a validity test.

This test evaluates various components present in the urine, such as specific gravity (the concentration of essential minerals), creatinine levels (a byproduct of creatine breakdown), and color.

If these parameters are outside the normal range, your urine sample might be flagged as diluted, necessitating a retest.

Therefore, it’s crucial to restore these parameters by taking additional vitamins and minerals.

Does Total Eclipse Assure Detox Work?

To assess whether the Total Eclipse Assure Detox is effective, we need to analyze its ingredients in the context of same-day cleansing protocols. Here’s a breakdown:

  1. Dietary Fiber: Helps interrupt enterohepatic circulation by binding to drug metabolites in the intestines and preventing their reabsorption.
  2. Sugars: These raise insulin levels in the body. When insulin increases, it halts the breakdown of body fat, thus reducing THC release into the blood and urine.
  3. Protein (from Rice Protein): Has minimal impact on the detox process, but may help maintain normal urine creatinine levels.
  4. Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid): Acts as a diuretic, increasing urine output, but doesn’t specifically reduce THC metabolite concentrations.
  5. B Vitamins (Thiamin, Riboflavin, Vitamin B12): Often used to give urine a yellow color, making it appear less diluted.
  6. Creatine Monohydrate: Maintains creatinine levels in urine, which is important as low levels can indicate dilution.
  7. Herbal Ingredients (e.g., Dandelion Extract, Ginger Root, Juniper Berry Extract): These act as diuretics and increase urine output. For example, Milk Thistle significantly inhibits CYP450 enzymes in the liver, crucial for drug metabolism. This ingredient is beneficial for our cleansing goal.
  8. Apple Pectin and Psyllium Seed Husk: Soluble fibers that might affect the enterohepatic circulation of drug metabolites.
  9. Other Ingredients: Water is essential for flushing out the system, while additives like vegetable glycerine and dextrose improve taste and shelf-life without aiding detoxification.
  10. Preservatives and Additives: These, including sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, don’t contribute to the cleansing process.

Verdict

Good: The Total Eclipse Assure Detox contains ingredients that block THC release from fat cells, slow down drug metabolism in the liver, and prevent reabsorption of THC back into the blood in the intestines.

It also has vitamins to restore urine color and creatine to maintain creatinine levels.

Bad: However, it lacks ingredients to restore the specific gravity of urine.

During a validity check, this may result in the urine being marked as diluted, potentially leading to a retest.

This analysis shows that while the drink has components that contribute to certain detoxification aspects, it falls short in fully restoring urine parameters to pass a drug test validity check.

It’s important to consider these factors when evaluating the effectiveness of the Total Eclipse Assure Detox.

Side Effects

A quick note on the potential side effects of the Total Eclipse Assure Detox, which comes from the blend of its ingredients:

  1. Gastrointestinal Discomfort: This is common with dietary fiber and psyllium husk.
  2. Bloating and Gas: Often caused by fiber and apple pectin.
  3. Diarrhea: Possible with high doses of vitamin C and fiber supplements.
  4. Increased Urination: Due to the diuretic effects of herbal extracts like dandelion and uva ursi.
  5. Nausea: Can be caused by various herbal supplements or high doses of vitamins.
  6. Headache: Sometimes associated with herbal extracts or an overdose of vitamins.
  7. Allergic Reactions: Possible with any herbal ingredient or artificial additives.
  8. Stomach Cramps: Caused by ingredients like creatine monohydrate, fiber, or herbal extracts.
  9. Dehydration: A result of increased urination from diuretics.
  10. Blood Sugar Fluctuations: Caused by sugars and sugar alcohols.

Does Total Eclipse Assure Detox Work for a Drug Test – Reviews

I’ve analyzed user reviews so you don’t have to. Here’s what I found:

  1. Total Number of Reviews: There were 45 user reviews.
  2. Effectiveness:
    • Successes: 24 users reported the drink as effective, often detailing their strict adherence to instructions and expressing satisfaction with results, like passing drug tests.
    • Failures: 9 users experienced failure, despite following instructions, and ended up failing their drug tests.
  3. Most Common Complaints:
    • A user followed all instructions and abstained from smoking for four days but still failed a home test.
    • Dislike of the drink’s flavor was mentioned, but its effectiveness was unclear.
    • A positive review included specific usage instructions, but the reliability of these methods is uncertain.
    • Comparison of drug test results before and after using the product showed unclear effectiveness.
    • A parent bought the drink for their son, who had already abstained for 45-60 days, making the product’s effectiveness in this case ambiguous.

My personal experience

Step 1 – Staying Clear from Weed for Two Days

After smoking straight for a week, I did not smoke for two days before the test. While the instructions did not mention anything about exercising or meal, I refrain from any physical activities and had light meals.

And during the course of these days, I only had water as a drink. No matter what detox you are using, avoid using acidic drinks, alcohol, sugar, salty foods, fruit juices, caffeine, etc.

Step – 2 During the Day of the test

The instruction asks you to drink the entire 16 oz bottle.

Wait for 15 minutes; refill the bottle with water and drink. If you are above 180 lbs, then you need to refill the bottle again.

So clearly, I had to consume 32 ounces of water after drinking the detox.

The whole process took around 1 hour, and I had peed four times in this time slot.

It only comes in one flavor, which is not that bad compared to a lot of detox drinks that I have experimented with.

Step 3 – Taking the Test

After urinating, it is recommended to wait at least 30 minutes before taking the test. So did it work? After following all the instructions and extra measures, I still tested positive for THC.

Conclusion

The drink contains ingredients helpful for blocking THC release from fat cells, slowing liver drug metabolism, preventing THC reabsorption into the blood, and restoring urine color and creatine levels.

However iIt lacks ingredients to restore the specific gravity of urine, which might lead to a diluted sample during a validity check, requiring a retest.

Coupled with the mixed reviews, I recommend using proven products like the Fast Marijuana Detox Kit for more reliable results.
